What would Audrey do?

Thursday, January 6th, 2011 by mfn

I was given the book of the same name this Christmas. In fact, it was the first present I opened - accompanied by a lovely note from a dear friend, advising that when she saw this book it reminded her of me, so she just had to buy it for me! (Aren’t I lucky!)

Written by Pamela Keogh, who also wrote ‘Audrey Style’,  it looks to be a fun, light hearted read - and I think it would be a great present to give to a god daughter, niece or favourite friend.

While I am just starting this book, I did happen to flip through it and saw that there was a section titled, ‘The art of the personlised letter’. (My friend was so right about me enjoying this book!!)

It advises that if “Audrey Hepburn could take the time to write, surely you can too.” I wholeheartedly agree.

As such, it got me thinking ………….. which French Navy stationery designs would Audrey have chosen to use?

I think the ‘A is for ….’ or ‘H is for ….’ in French Navy would have been top of her list

'A is for .......'

'A is for .......'

As she was so proud of her precious sons, no doubt she would have sent thank you cards for any baby presents on a note card such as ‘Rock-a-bye, Baby’,

'Rock-a-bye, Baby'

'Rock-a-bye, Baby'

and as Audrey was an animal lover, I think she would have found the ‘Woof Woof’ note cards suitably whimsical!

'Woof Woof'!

'Woof Woof'!

And now, back to reading my glorious, thoughtful present!
