Frank Sinatra on manners

Friday, March 8th, 2013 by mfn

Last night I came across a shot of Frank Sinatra with the following quote …..

“I may sound old-fashioned, but I want to think all women should be treated like I want my wife, daughters and granddaughters to be treated. I notice today that good manners - like standing up when a woman enters the room, helping a woman with her coat, letting her enter an elevator first, taking her arm to cross the street - are sometimes considered unnecessary or a throwback ……. no woman is offended by politeness.”

I couldn’t agree with Frank more. What do you think?

I love reading quotes. I find them inspiring, uplifting and thought provoking.

I was doing some research online when I came across this quote.

gggg

This particular quote always makes me smile, due to the fact it was written on a card I received from my parents after I had accepted a new job, with a promotion! I still remember where I was sitting when the parcel was delivered to work and the feeling of unwrapping it and reading the lovely, proud words from my parents. I remember it like it was yesterday.
