Simply Stunning

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 by mfn

I know, I know, all of the hoopla over the latest SATC movie was has finally died down, people are divided about how they felt about it etc, but what no-one can deny is how divine Sarah Jessica Parker looked in the May 2010 edition of American Vogue.

While I know that many of you may have already seen them, I do know that these stunning shots will have me entranced for many years to come, so I thought it more than appropriate to share them. They were shot by Mario Testino and styled by Grace Coddington. Please enjoy!

Which note card would Carrie use?

Friday, May 7th, 2010 by mfn

With the pending launch of the new Sex and the City movie, a friend asked me the other day which French Navy note cards did I think the Sex and the City girls would use. Hmm, an interesting question.

After much deliberation, I think I have the answer.

With Carrie’s love of romance and shoes - I believe she would use the ‘I heart you’ cards to write notes to Big and the ‘Stiletto’ design to write to the girls and Stanford!

Charlotte however, would likely go for a traditional letter for her formal note cards, such as a ‘C is for …’ in French Navy. Although if she was in more of a light hearted mood, she may decide to use the ‘Woof Woof’ cards, (I’m sure her dog Elizabeth Taylor would approve!) or the ‘Pirouette’ cards, due to her love of ballet.

Samantha, on the other hand, would go for designs in bolder colours and as such, I think the ‘S is for ….’ card in red and ‘Cock-a-Doodle’ card in orange, would be more her style.

And lastly, Miranda. I think Miranda would like having the simple, yet elegant, ‘Thanks for ….’ note cards in French Navy to hand and being a working mother, she would have Brady’s next birthday party organised months in advance. As such, she would have the ‘Set Sail’ set of party invitations and matching thank you cards ready and waiting!

How do you think I’ve fared with my suggestions? I would love to hear your thoughts.
